Comfort and Convenience

The 2018 Silverado 2500 HD trims include WT, LT, LTZ, and High Country. All trims are available as a spacious four-door Crew Cab that seats up to six passengers, and all except the highest trim come as 4-Door Double Cabs as well. The lowest two trims come as a Regular Cab, seating three passengers and featuring an 8-foot bed.

New for this model year, Chevy added a standard 7-inch touchscreen MyLink infotainment system, 6-speaker audio, and a rearview camera to all models. Other standard features include Teen Driver technology, single-zone climate control, and a folding rear bench (except Regular Cabs). Available interior features include leather-appointed seating, heated and ventilated front seats, bucket seats, power-adjustable seating, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging pad, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Performance and Capacity

The Silverado 2500 HD has three engine options. The base on all trims is a 6.0-liter Vortec V8 that makes 301 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque, and you can upgrade to a version that makes 360 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The third option is a 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 that makes 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. Each engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

All models have a towing capacity of at least 13,000 pounds and the maximum (with turbodiesel only) is 20,000 pounds. The maximum payload is just over 6,100 pounds. For optimal performance and professional use, ask your Heritage Chevrolet dealer about the features included in the Duramax Plus Package, Vortec Plus Package, Snow Plow Prep Package, and Fifth-Wheel/Gooseneck Prep Package.

Safety and Technology

The Silverado 2500 HD LT trim and higher feature Digital Steering Assist, OnStar Guidance Plan, and heated exterior mirrors. Other available safety tech includes Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Front and Rear Park Assist.

Additionally, you can equip your Silverado 2500 with the Chevrolet MyLink Radio with Navigation and 8-inch screen, including Bluetooth wireless, voice-activated technology, auxiliary and USB ports, and HD Radio. Premium audio includes a 7-speaker Bose system with the Richbass woofer. For the ultimate road-trip ride, you can also opt for a Rear Seat Entertainment Package with Blu-ray player, 9.2-inch display, and a set of wireless headphones.
